Cost vs. Value

"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with all the Masses said throughout the world today; for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those within my own home, and within my family. Amen."

Construction Methods

Before we can say one more word, we have to give thanks to God.  This little bench has been thoroughly blessed along the way; we have learned and discovered things that we never would have come to without the help of Heaven – and some truly wonderful and inspiring people along the way.

When we first began rosary making, it was with a lot of enthusiasm, but not nearly enough understanding of the process.  Over the years, we have learned about different methods of construction, which has lead to our central philosophy that everything we make is “designed with centuries in mind”.  It’s not just a motto, but is our charism that infuses every choice we make.  Our goal is for each and every rosary and chaplet to be just as good and strong in 300 years as it is the day you receive it.  This is our mission.

.

It is always heartbreaking to see a broken rosary.  A broken rosary is an unused rosary, and an unused rosary is a missed opportunity to grow closer to Christ.  We became driven to create rosaries would not – could not – break simply from being used every day.  What we learned along the way is that we’re really only the tools of the Master Designer.  Of course the Holy Spirit knew all along what to do; our task was simply to persevere.

  • Patina Wrap. It began with our great frustration with our wire-wrapping method.  We were very pleased with the permanence of the construction, but the beauty of the work was lacking.  The wire work was very stiff and all of the attention seemed to be on the wire itself and not the overall design.  The concern was that the wraps would only serve to hinder prayer, not help.  Out of nowhere, the thought came, “What if we wrap it like this…”  In that moment, we were inspired to create what is now known as the Patina Wrap and we haven’t looked back since.  We believe that it is the most beautiful, durable and manageable wire-wrapping method that you will find anywhere.  And we believe in the quality of our construction so strongly that we provide a lifetime guarantee on every piece we make.
  • Stabilized Paters. Again, with an eye towards minimizing any distraction to prayer, we went to work on building a better Pater.  We love those gorgeous, embellished Our Father beads (especially Lampwork), but we are not terribly fond of wobbly beads.  If our Paters are created with beads having larger holes, we stabilize the bead first.  This is accomplished by trimming rubber or acrylic earring stoppers to the proper size to fit into the bead’s hole, then we run the link wire through the stoppers and continue building the link from there.  Taking the time for this extra step makes all the difference.  The end result is a Pater that is rock solid:  no wobbles, no worries.
